Day fifteenth is here, and I have managed to make something for each day in past two weeks. Every new day I begin with no idea of what I will make, so it has been like getting a surprise while trusting the process.
Here’s what I made in the second week of the project:
Day 8
A mixed media collage with painting on a pink tinted paper, which wasn’t really suitable to take water as it buckled up. But pressing the sheet under some weight once its dry does the trick.
Day 9
Day 9 was about illustrating small figurines I saw at the Noida Flower Show.
Collage with drawn elements.
Day 10
Day ten was about carrying a flame through dificult times. Drawing with white poster paint on black paper.
Day 11
A turkey tail mushroom papercut with oil pastels.
Day 12
Two friends in the forest, collage spin on the original ink drawing from a while ago.
Day 13
Good old ink pen drawing. Trying to keep it simple.
Day 14
More papercuts - I am really enjoying blocking shapes into paper. Even the left over negative shapes are lovely to look at. I paste them too into my black book.
Phew! It’s been really fun at the same time a bit exhausting to keep up. Taking it one day at a time.
Are you also in the middle of a project which feels overwhelming? Write to me or let’s exchange notes about our projects in the comments. I would love to hear from you.
